Pros

walgreens is great place to work because they pay you ok for what you are doing and has an excellent benefits package and it is easy to advance if you are a pharmacist. they really know how to schedule you at the best times and you are never bored.

Cons

Payment is low for the industry. working with customers can be tiresome because they are all sick and they complain all of the time and sometimes it wears on your soul. even if you have thick skin it can be hard to bear because they all yell at you and are never grateful for the work you do for them.

Pros

At my Walgreens management acknowledges & respects the useful idea's of their employees. For the most part everyone works together for the greater good of making the store successful, no one likes a poor work environment. And it's up to the store manager to keep the beat of the store humming right along. Management does it best to accommodate requests for day's off.

Cons

With economy being what it is, pay is always the first to go, weather in a raise or overtime. It's never a fair situation for anyone. Retail will never have the best work schedules nights, weekends or when someone can't work their shift, puts pressure on the rest of us, as well as dealing with customers, face it the public can rude, selfish & inconsiderate at times

Pros

Generally treats all employees with fairness and respect. Walgreens is a more stable company and generally offers better compensation packages, especially for general WH.

Cons

Slow economy - hours sometimes cut.
