Pros

Flexible schedule, profit sharing, personal growth, opportunities for promotion at the store level. Compensation is decent as you move up. Customer experience has become more of a focus over the past few years.

Cons

Little work-life balance, especially for salaried managers. Not enough training hours for new hires. Upper management is more concerned with sales than employee safety and satisfaction.

Pros

When I started there, the potential for advancement seemed limitless. I always had the time during work to do any required training, and management was very supportive and respectful of employees, as a general rule.

Cons

During my last year, the company changed. It became harder and harder to find time for required training, and we were all required to do more work on the floor than what some may consider reasonable. They also started up with a sort of "gotcha" policy, where if you made a small error, like leaving an item in the wrong dept., they would take a picture, counsel you on it, and put it in your employee file.

Pros

If you like 12 hour shifts and no take home work this may work for you.

Cons

Very little flexibility beyond begging people to pick up shifts. Management doesn't show consideration for the FNPs - the focus is completely about the numbers. The bonus opportunity is a joke and is based on the market not on your own work. They've cut the MAs. EMR frequently breaks but they don't invest in long term fixes. Just overall a disappointing experience and I'm glad it's over.
