"50% match up to 8%, plus 6% on top, for a grand total of 10%. This is outstanding and I do not know of anyone who tops that. If you make $100 and max out your 401k, you're putting away $28k a year."

Winter shutdown is a positive thing, as the plant closes for about a week and a half in December of every year. You start with 3 weeks paid vacation you can use immediately.
