Anyone out here who has retired early? It’s something I fantasize about but not sure if I could ever see myself doing it. If you’ve done it, how did it go? Did you enjoy it or find yourself going back to work?

Conspiracy Theories for RTO Policies. What are all your theories on why companies are doing RTO, whether it be hybrid or full RTO? I want to hear your thoughts on this, especially if you are the ones making this call or talked to someone making this call for the company. I experienced RTO with top executives saying the reason is to improve culture and connections. I don’t think it’s the main reason. I think it has to do with real estate prices. I’ll explain in my comment bc of character limit.

How do you tell your current employer that you need a 5 days off to do an in person evaluation that could possibly lead to another job? Can they fire you for even pursuing it? Just curious what some repercussions could be.

Help! I’m burned out. I was home with my kids for 10 years and went back to work when my husband retired. I’m post menopausal and the brain fog is real. At work I keep being marked for errors and have been put on a 90 day PIP. Maybe I need to be a cashier somewhere quiet where the hardest thing to do is balance at the end of the day. I don’t feel like I will get through the PIP and I don’t think I have the bandwidth to do anything with complexity. I have no draw for anything specific. So tired.

Do you think working remotely kills creativity? I spoke to a CEO who called everyone to return to in person work becuase working remotely lacked the out-of-the-box results he was looking for.
