I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ALDI
Interview
Tough process, need to research a lot about the company background, products, values etc for all stages of the interviewing process. Application, Aptitude tests, video interview, group assessment centre and one on one final interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at ALDI (Neston, North West England, England) in Jan 2021
Interview
Was surprised the interview went ahead in person due to coronavirus national lockdown and snow on the day.
I was concerned about the need to commute in the job. Some regions are quite large and area managers are expected to move around within the region so moving closer to work is impossible meaning i hoped area managers had a say in there area of choice.
Originally i asked whether area managers had any choice in the assessment centre, and i was told it is unlikely i would be made to commute from Liverpool to the middle of wales within the Neston region.
As i was still unsure i asked this question at the beginning of the interview to which i was told "that is a concerning question to me as it shows you are not fully UK flexible".
To be honest at that stage i might aswell have gone home because i asked more questions than the Interviewer who asked more questions about my placement year employer than myself personally.
Overall the experience was not bad, probably better than most for graduates, but this was a bad interview and a waste of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most were about my employer during my placement year eg. Salary, hours worked, how they reacted to covid, and why i did not want to return there following graduation.
I was asked about my personal life and some questions i thought were irrelevant to the job such as why do i like living in Liverpool, which seemed a strange question to ask.
I was also asked more or less the same question twice regarding why i wanted the job - but as i said the interview was ober before it began.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Oct 2020
Interview
It was a video interview for the graduate scheme. The interview consisted of six questions and they were all one minute each. You had 30 seconds to read the question and prepare yourself before it starts recording.
