I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ALDI (West Saint Paul, MN)
Interview
Three interviews easy question. Two interviews with the district manager and one with the store. Easiest way to get hired is go to a hiring event. Be prepared to drug test fairly recently after the offer

Question 1
Why do you wanna work for aldi. What are your strengths. What makes you different
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ALDI (Dearborn Heights, MI) in Mar 2012
Interview
I went to a job fair in a local Aldis that must have had at least 400 people present and that was only in the begining of the day! I was chosen to do an informal second interview at another Aldis about a week later with the district manager. We had the second interview in an informal setting in a back room office of the store. The district manager was nice but professional. She didn't ask me any stupid questions like why do you want to work for us or why should we hire you? She asked things like do you have any experience working in a grocery store or as a cashier? I didn't, but she seemed to like my smiling but firm personality. I think all you need to be hired here is a strong healthy body and raw intelligence that they can build on. She didn't mind training someone without experience and the questions she asked just seemed geared towards finding out how much training I would need to get my job done correctly.
there was a three day interview process with meeting with the district manager and then his boss along with an intern and then again with the district manager it was not as bad as i thought just have to be yourself and view it as a conversation not an antagonizing bad connotation of a three step interview process
