The assessors are very friendly.
starts with an icebreaker- describing yourself, your university degree, talk about your hobbies and then you have to say your favourite Aldi product and why.
Then you get given a topic it could be pricing, special buys , branding etc and you have 10 mins to prepare and then 3 mins to present back and after wards they will ask a question based on something you have said.
Then there is an individual exercise that leads into a group exercise. You get given a brief- in my interview it was 4 different training programme options and you have to select 1. This is very rushed! you just need to pick out the key info. Then you have one min to present why you picked that option
then you have 20 mins as a group to all decide which programme you are going to go for and then have 2 mins to present your final conclusion.
The assessor will disagree with your option and try and persuade you to change your mind.

For the group assessment the day is split into 2 parts - the first is the presentation on your store walk. I would recommend not being afraid to clarify with them the subject of your presentation. Mine was on stock but looking back I don't think I was talking about the right thing at all. And make sure to watch your time too, because that's what they're really testing for! The second part is deciding on a candidate to hire. You get a chance to read through the details and then you give a 1 minute presentation on who you would choose. Then you work as a group and decide together who you would choose. The interviewers will then as you questions about your candidate, but don't be afraid to stand up for your decision.

Interview
Friendly and makes you feel relaxed straight away. Very challenging stage but interesting and enables you to become better upon reflection of how you handled yourself. The other people who applied were also friendly and you didn’t feel under pressure
