I applied through college or university. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Feb 2018
Interview
There were 3 rounds of interviews. First, candidates were invited to an on campus info session to ensure candidate goals matched with the position. The next day there was a short and canned interview that was read from a script. Next, you get invited to the regional office with all other potential candidates. You are placed in a room with everyone and your name is called when it is your turn to interview. It feels more like a cattle call rather than an interview process. Interviews are typical and rely on behavioral type questions. A few weeks later, potential candidates that made the cut are asked back to shadow a DM and interview with other managers if needed. While Aldi wants to make sure that the position and candidate are a good fit, the interview process is mostly impersonal. All communication that is done between the candidate and Aldi during this process is done by generic email. Whether rejected, accepted, or asked back for further interviews, each email seems to be a canned response with the candidates name filled in on the sheet. I expect better from a large company that has an experienced HR department.
