      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Feb 2016

      Interview

It all started with the online application and assessment, be warned it is long with lots of questions that require paragraph long answers, some mathematical questions, questions regarding your previous experience, and a personality test. It took over an hour to complete. It took around 4 weeks till I heard from them, I received an email inviting me to a one to one interview in a local store. I worked Monday to Friday 9-5, the appointment slot they had given me coincided with me working, I asked for them to reschedule the appointment, they got back to me quickly and gave me a time for the weekend. It made me respect them as they understood my other commitments. I arrived early and smartly dressed for my interview, the interview was with the area manager who was both professional and friendly. Because so much information had been given on the online application the interview was more about getting to know me, my availability and having a chat about the hard work aldi expect. The area manager was very helpful, answered all questions and was extremely professional. The questions asked were about previous experience and how I can turn it into an aldi career. It lasted about 30 minutes and I was told I would hear something within a week either telling me I was unsuccessful or to invite me to a store experience. Within 2 days I had received an email inviting me to the store experience, again I had to reschedule, and they worked it round me. The day was even more informal, I dressed smart again, we were taught some health and safety and then asked to perform some tasks around the store. This part was with a store manager and it was me and one other person. After some basic work we sat and chatted about shift patterns, the environment and the work expected of us. It was so relaxed, and asked about how we had done. She said that once you've passed the online assessment you're already half way there. I received an offer email 2 days later saying I had got the position.

      Interview

Group interview where you had to role-play scenarios about working in the store. Hard to actually get a word in and it was online which made it even more difficult.

      Interview

Had a group online interview and I felt it was very hard to get any point across and it felt very over the top and the process seemed too long for what the job actually was

      Interview

Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
