ALDI interview questions

The company recruited on college campuses and conducted interviews on campus. They also chose candidates to go up to the divisional office for 2nd interviews with directors and the vice president. While candidates and in the divisional office, they are required to complete personality tests and an IQ test. After those interviews, candidates are offered a position pending and drug and background test.

The district manager asked me about my reasons for interest in Aldi, reaction to certain types of situations then ended with mostly background questions, about drug use and criminal history. The interview was mostly answering factual questions about myself while the rest consisted of questions about made up situations that I may come across while working as a cashier at the grocery store at any given time and also how I would react and deal with the different types of customers I would encounter on a daily basis. It was easier than anticipated but a little different from most of the other interviews I have had at retailers. I thought it went well and was surprised I did not get a call back, though they were interviewing a lot of people for only one or two positions in his area but still thought i did pretty well in the interview.
