I first went to a hiring event at one location. Basically dropped off my application and resume. I was told I would hear from someone in a few days. I received a voicemail and called back later that day. After a few more days and no callback, I called again and left and voicemail. Two days later I received a text about an interview which I thought was odd but I responded back with a text to setup the interview. About an hour before my interview, I received another text asking to push back the time an hour. Again, not accustomed to this type of communication for a first interview, I responded that it would be fine to push it back. When I arrived ten mins before my interview, the district manager had yet to arrive so they had me stand at the front of the store which I thought was odd. Once she arrived, I waited another ten minutes until being called back. It lasted approx 25 minutes and basically just went over my resume and application. I was told that I would hear back within a few days. It's now been three weeks and I never heard anything. Somewhat disappointing to not even hear some type of response either way. I hope not all hiring managers treat candidates the same way. I thought texting was unprofessional prior to a first interview but maybe I'm old school.
