Was called in for a group interview with the area manager. There was me and three other candidates, one of whom I talked to a bit beforehand. We were all asked to introduce ourselves, our work history and why we wanted to work at ALDI. After this, the area manager explained more about the role and asked us questions based on our knowledge of how ALDI operates. I feel like I didn't do well because a lot of the time I had to try and get in an answer before anyone else and couldn't think things through, and there weren't many chances to prove myself, but I received a call for a one-on-one interview.
The one-on-one interview was with the same area manager, and I feel like I did a lot better because I was able to take my time in answering the questions. The main focus of the questions was on difficult customer service situations and work history, as well some maths questions for arithmetic ability. All in all, this was a lot better than the group interview, and the manager told me she would be contacting successful applicants by the end of the week.
Also had to apply for a police check and a medical examination which they do through a service that assigns you to a local clinic. It's been about over a week since the last interview, and heard nothing so I assume I didn't get the job. Ah well, got a free medical.
