The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ALDI (Norristown Post Office, PA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Started with a phone screening where they provide you with a ton of info about the job and try to talk you out of it. Then they asked me a bunch of questions about the responsibilities/requirements of the job and if I’d be able to do them. Then we went over my last 5 years of employment history and why I left or was looking to leave previous jobs. She wanted to interview me in person at the end of this. The interview was supposed to be with her and the store manager, but instead only her trainee did the interview. I was asked a bunch of situational questions that mostly had to do with things related to their policies. I was asked again to go over my employment history. That was it. I was very surprised that they didn’t want to know more about me or why I was interested in the job.

Question 1
Can you tell me about your last 5 years of employment history and why you left or are looking to leave?
As other applicants stated, they advertise shift manager positions, but don't actually hire them. They expect you to start off as a regular associate at $4 less an hour than advertised and work your way up. Don't waste your time if you are set on the shift supervisor role. Why advertise a job that isn't actually available???
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ALDI (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2017
Interview
Panel interview with current shift managers and store manager. Observation by shift managers before hand to screen potential shift managers. After a list was made an essay had to be written and submitted for review by the store manager.
