I applied through college or university. I interviewed at ALSTOM
Interview
Basic technical interview, which glossed over standard undergrad mechanical subjects, brief discussion on your project/internship followed by a standard HR interview which consisted of weakness, strengths, interests, problems in relocation, etc.
I was shortlisted for interview in Alstom during this Covid situation where i was desperately looking for job. My first round of interview lasted almost an hour and it went very well. I was selected for the secound round and I was excited.I was told it would be a manager round. After explaining about my projects the interviewer asked you doesnt seem to have knowledge on WCF which is crucial for this role. How can we give you this job. I replied saying since nothing is impossible and everyone in every company is learning new everytime to sync with changing technology, I too can learn it and can be produtive. But he didnt proceed anymore as it seems he only wanted to ask about WCF. Nowhere in my resume I had mentioned I had knowledge or experience of WCF , still then why was I selected for even the first round of interview if I didnt meet the minimum eligibility. I spent one hour so positivley hoping for good but ended up in despair. I am very dissatisfied.
