AMD interview questions

1st Interview: 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Design NOT gate using XOR gate. 3. Describe your projects. (Mine were 4-bit ripple carry adder and tail lamp controller) 4. AND gate using MUX. 5. Difference between latch and flip flops. 6. Define setup and hold time. The follow up question was that if the chip is fabricated and there is a setup time violation, how will you resolve it. And if there is a hold time violation then how will you resolve it? 7. Detail about DICD project (Intuition behind the design). 8. Detail about btech project. 9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years. 10. Asked the interviewer some questions about the job profile. 11. Blocking and non-blocking statements and a follow up question of race around condition for these statements. 2nd Interview: 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Asked about course subjects. 3. What are short channel devices and what are their advantages and disadvantages. 4. Difference between latch and flip flops. 5. MUX circuitry. (I drew 2x1 MUX). Follow up question 4x1 MUX using 2x1 MUX. 6. Positive latch in series with negative latch working and speed comparison with flip flop. 7. Then 1hr 15min grinding on that tail lamp controller verilog project.
