Applied via employ referral program. The hiring manager contacted and talked via phone. Then full day on-site interview was done with team members. The interviewers asked job related experience and knowledge on the specific area that team is required. No coding question was given.

Interview
I got contactef by AMD recruiter for this position. I had the first phone screening with corporate VP. The VP then recommended a second interview with an AMD fellow in the specific area.
Unfortunately, it wasn not a real interview as the Fellow interviewer did not show up and sent a lower grade engineer to do the sham interview. It was very insuling and disrespectful situation.
It's clearly that the interview was just scam to justify the visa process for some foreign person for a senior position.
Similar situation happen few years ago where the interviewer didn't show up and yet wrote a bad review about the interview process.
AMD needs to clean up their house before wasting people's time and efforts. They need to be investigated by the government for abusing immigration laws by repeatedly doing such scams.
