I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AMD
Interview
First phone interviewed with the hiring manager, then had onsite interview with 4 people, including the hiring manager. The interview was technical, 45 min per person. The engineers who interviewed me were friendly. The environment was very casual. No HR personnel was involved in the first round. I received email feedback on my status after two days, which was nice.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AMD (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2015
Interview
Begins with technical questions followed by behavioral question. There was also a part where they showed you what the layout team does and what goes on in a day to day setting. Overall amazing interview experience, just be prepared and know all CMOS DIGITAL configuration. And study electronic CMOS, know the characteristic curves. And be able to draw. They will give you paper and expect you to draw. Also Autocad experience is a bonus.
