Interview
Four 1-hour phone conversations with research team members and 1 hours web presentation in front of research team members. Conversations were scheduled one after another. It all took a little over a week.

Mostly related to background knowledge and current developments in the area. Also, some typical questions about cache hierarchy and architecture to test thinking. Some questions related to what would be involved in the project at this position.

Interview
Interviewed with team manager plus three other team members. The interview went well and questions were pretty standard. They did most of the talking. I was offered the job almost immediately. I was hired as a contractor to hire, converted to full time employee after 18 months.

Interview
I met my manager at career fair in school. Then I went through an 1-hour on-campus interview, 4 1-hour on-site interviews. The on-campus interview is with my hiring manager, and the on-site interviews are with his team members and another hiring manager.

Question 1
I was asked about basic C++ knowledge, such as encapsulation and polymorphism. I was also asked to interpret some assembly code. A design manager asked me conceptual questions about computer systems and architecture, such as cache and virtual memory.
