I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Aug 2014
Interview
Asda interviews are done in gripped rather than a one to one. You begin by pairing up and gaining information about your partner and feeding it back to the group. The second task is choosing a product and selling it to the interviewers. Finally you will be taken on to the shop floor to get a taste of the role you have applied for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you sell this product to a potential customer?
I applied online. I interviewed at ASDA (Manchester, England) in Apr 2021
Interview
Group interview first then 1 to 1s when you pass to the next stage. Quite fun in the group interviews and not to intimidating on the 1 to 1s. Kept updated throughout the whole process
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Bexley, England) in Jan 2021
Interview
Standard interview questions and common sense, staff are nice, everything is straightforward. Applied online and did some scenario based questions and customer service based questions, second stage was in a group with the new hires to watch some training videos
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ASDA
Interview
Asked to attend Asda Magic which is quite fun with ice breakers and team challenges. Watched a video about the store and the colleagues. Then went on the shop floor to do the 'have a go' with colleagues which involves filling in a work sheet about what you done and seen. Interview was OK but the person interviewing didn't really have a clue as only their second time interviewing. I got offered the job but my last choice department, permanent Sundays with hours which were no good and not enough hours so I declined. They then called me back after 5 mins and offered another role but still the opposite of what I applied for. I declined again!
