I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASDA (Doncaster, England) in May 2019
Interview
The interview process was pretty easy. I had an online assessment in which I had to answer a series of scenario questions, and some basic info about myself. Then I was contacted to attend a group interview. When I got there, there was about 10 other people, and we were sat down at a table and told what was going to happen. We went down to the shop floor with some supervisors and we’re given a tour, after which we had to say things we saw the store doing that was good and what could be improved. Then we were split into pairs with a supervisor and then allocated a store worker to shadow for 20 minutes. After this, we regrouped and had to do some practical shop floor activities, again for about 20 minutes. I got put on collecting empties and making sure the aisle was clear. Pretty easy. After this, we went back into the room from the beginning and had to write what we’d enjoyed and what we didn’t like from those two activities. Then we had to say a strength and a weakness we’d like to improve on (didn’t have to be work related, I said I wanted to get better at motorway driving!). The woman in charge then told us some more about the way shifts were, gave us a sheet to fill out about availability and that was about it. Really enjoyable interview, relaxed and less pressure having a few people there. All the staff were lovely and I was really pleased with the whole thing.

Interview
Online application, then received a call inviting me to an assessment day, involved a group interview, individual interview and a group activity. If you forgot to bring your passport or proof to work in UK, you weren't allowed to proceed. Also watched a video about Walmart.
