Interview
I applied at asda Warrington online. First I had to do an assessment about working at asda and then another one to do with your personality. 3 days later I had a phone call saying that there's a group interview that week if I'm still interested. It lasted nearly two hours. There was 9 candidates in the room and 4 employers and 1 employee I think. We all got invited into this room with 3 tables in and we were told to sit where our names were and they were little badges which the employees wear which was pretty cool. First they introduced themselves and then they put a video on about asda and what they see as a successful employee and what it's like to work at asda basically. They then put us into partners where we had 5 minutes to get to know eachother and ask them what two things they'd take up to space with them and why, we then had to stand up and say what we learnt about the other person and what they would take to space to everyone in the room. After that we were split into two groups and was given products where we had to advertise stating the features and benefits of the product, our group got surface cleaner and then we had to perform in front of everyone. After that we got a tour around asda and all the stock rooms and fridges and freezers, it was fascinating to see what it was like. We then went back to the little room where we were given a sheet of paper where you put your name, contact number and then you put Y/N for the departments you can work in and the first two departments you'd like to work in. You then ticked your availability, and any holidays within the next 12 months then I signed and dated it and we could go. Overall, I really enjoyed it I'm glad I went because it was a lot of fun:) Two days later I got a call off them saying if I can go in for an interview that day so I agreed and rushed myself ready to get there, basically it was an interview to say your opinion on if you enjoyed the group recruitment event and talk about your past jobs if you had any I didn't which wasn't a problem as they train their new employees. She then went over what shifts and days I could working and if I was okay with that and I was in on my holidays so I have plenty of free time. She then asked after this as it was temporary that hoe I'd feel if I got offered full time and I said no due to college so she asked about seasonal work and I agreed to that too. She asked if I had any questions but she pretty much answered them already and told me she'll ring me back if it's a yes or no. Left the building for 15 mins and got a call back straight away saying I got the job and what days and shifts I'd be working. And also to go in a week later to sign papers and stuff:)
