I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at AT&T (Greenville, SC) in Dec 2011
Interview
I acquired the job from a Monster posting I saw online. After signing up for an account in their career website and filling out a long 20 minute questionnaire I was done with the applying online. After 3 days I got a call from a hiring manager to see if I was interested in the job, and had an interviewed scheduled the next day. I arrived at their corporate office and was interviewed by a hiring manager. The interview was fairly short and it focused on the themes of customer service and previous experience. The following day I got an email that said that I had moved on to the next stage of the hiring process. I had to go meet the manager of the store I was applying to. After meeting her and answering a few questions she told me I had the job.

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AT&T (Hoffman Est, IL) in Nov 2011
Interview
Interview was at the head quarters. Interviewer was very calm nice guy. Gave me enough time to think over all the questions being asked and also allowed me with enough patience.
I was surprised how he didn't ask me one single question about my academic career rather we talked more about my experience, best projects, why i chose my school, what do I love the most being in business industry and so on.
very clear and common questions, very friendly behavior, no tough routine, no weird vibes or anything.
