I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2011
Interview
First you have to have just graduated from college or on the verge of. Another key thing is that you have a good resume on hand. I had a couple of internships and worked in retail all throughout college and realized that this really helped during my interviews. If they like what they see, they will contact pretty fast (I got a call the following day after applying).
My first interview was with a really nice woman from HR in Florida. The interview was through webcam which was pretty cool in my opinion. She asked a lot about what I did in school, my jobs and my experiences with leadership. LEADERSHIP is a big talking point throughout all the interviews you have. The point of the program is to mold leaders into future AT&T leaders. I felt great about the interview and got a callback the next day saying I have a 2nd webcam interview the following week.
My 2nd interview was with someone who worked directly in the program. This interview was also webcam as I stated before and it was similar to the 1st one but my leadership was what was being asked about the most and how I handled certain situations whether be at work or school. It was a great talk and once again felt great about it. I got a call a couple of days later stating that I was on to the 3rd and final interview.
The 3rd interview was in-person with the Director of Retail Sales in my area. It took place in the back of a AT&T retail store. This one was like the previous two but they also ask about what are your goals in life and what do you feel you bring to the program. I realized the Director and I had a lot in common and felt very comfortable talking about myself and my ambitions. Being yourself is a real attribute because they want to meet and see the real you.
Took just a couple of days after the 3rd interview and I was offered a position in the program where you'll be training in Atlanta, GA for 6 months (this is 1 of the reasons why I loved the program when I first saw it). I start at the end of October and I'm very excited especially with all the experience and perks you get. I've been told it's like a classroom setting so be prepared to learn a lot. I've said enough here about the program but there is so much more than I suggest to look it up in the AT&T careers website. (FYI: This is an honest review of what I went through and I couldn't have been happier with how everything went through my interview process)
