I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at AT&T (Woodland, CA) in Jun 2009
Interview
I submitted my resume and application online and was contacted quickly by the local manager. The manager and his superior were incredibly courteous and understanding of my time constraints as a student. Even without any former sales experience they were willing to give me a chance to learn and grow with their team.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AT&T (Columbia, MO) in Jun 2012
Interview
Online Application followed by telephone interview. Invited to interview with regional manager in store. Interview was very by the book - same questions asked to each perspective employee - alot of time explaining responsibilities and protocols. Questions included, why should we hire you when thousands of applicants want to work for ATT? I was then offered a follow up interview with the store manager which I declined.

Question 1
Why you when I have thousands of applicants for this job?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Nashville, TN) in Mar 2008
Interview
First fill out an application online. If your criteria matches what they are looking for, you will receive an email telling you when to come in and what you need to do. Prior to going in for your interview, you will need to complete about 2 tests to make sure you are compatible with the position and job. After you have passed, you will receive your score and it looks better, of course, for your interview. They will run a background check and drug test and the background may not come back until after you completed your interview. It is a customer service position but the job is based on the selling of other AT&T products, thus the name of the position, SALES ASSOCIATE. If you are not good in sales, then don't apply because sooner or later, you will either be terminated or forced to resign. If you are not good with people, don't apply; same situation. They can teach different ways to get a sale but they can't teach you to be nice and cordial.
