Started with a recruiter before talking to a hiring manager. Then there were several rounds of interviews with people the position would be working with, as well as a presentation.
Met with several higher ups who didn’t seem close to the position or would be interacting with it very much, which was different from some other interviews.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AbbVie (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2024
Interview
Panel interview mainly focusing on technical questions. Starts with phone call interview with hr and hiring manager and then in person. Panel interview are either 1 on 1 or with many senior scientists from company.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at AbbVie
Interview
Very long process. Took over 2.5 months from start to finish.
The recruiter was hard to get a hold of for an update. The interview process by itself was pretty standard - Phone screen> Interview with Hiring Manager> Seminar> Panel and 1:1s> HR
Some of the low level employees (RA/SRA) seemed very inexperienced with taking interviews and asked generic questions.
Couple of the higher up (AD and VP) interviews were stiff but productive.
