I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Accenture (Jalandhar, Punjab) in Dec 2010
Interview
Initial Communication: It was through campus drive to our college.
PPT (Pre Placement Talk): Company representative briefed through the Hiring process and Accenture's milestone
First Round: It was a sort of reasoning aptitude test and questions were a bit tricky though they seem to be straightforward. Most of the questions were from Arithmetic, English grammar and numerical ability.Few questions were from data interpretation too.
*Here I would like to point out that the vendor Accenture hired to conduct First Round was arrogant in its behavior and treated the students badly. Neither their tone nor body language was supportive.A scared fresher got more scared.
Second Round: It was Technical round and interviewer was so cool and made me so comfortable that for a while I forgot that I am in an interview.Straightaway he asked me what you have prepared for the day rather than starting from his own bucket ! My obvious answer was c++ and data structure. Slowly we dig deeper into data structures and a bit in c++. Most of the question he asked revolved around memory management , and data structures usage .I was asked two questions from algorithm too breadth first search and difference between bubble sort and quick sort.
Third Round: It was an HR round. Being a fresher I was lesser number of question. This round revolved around which location I will prefer to work and Am I comfortable to travel, what are my future aspiration and of course the very obvious million dollar question 'Why you want to join Accenture?"
They displayed the selected freshers name and next day we were given our offer letter and they said joining date will be communicated to us later by email. It was December 2010.
Here the agony begins:
We were waiting for joining details but there was no response from them for at least next 4 month. When I sent them email, I used to get reply "We will tell you shortly".They continued to say this for an year and trust me It was most frustrating period of my life.
Finally I got call on 1 FEB 2012 i.e. 14 months later !
But again things does not end here, we were called at Chennai location ! Started to train us and the most awkward thing I found there was they assign you technical domain randomly without knowing your strength and weakness. Lets say some one is great at developing wonderful User Interface/UX , he/she might be assigned testing domain ! Horrible ! Horrble !
Horrible ! This was most unpleasing part of Accenture !
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You are good at academics , why you are not considering higher studies?
Interview was nice but it was much technical heavy and the interviewer had asked both the technical and HR related questions and also some general knowledge and current affairs questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your college projects and what is your and other team members role in the project
After assessment, Interview is Initial screening only, nothing technical. Consists of common questions so you should practice. I think most candidates get the job. Overall a good experience and would recommend to others.
Had long aptitude rounds followed by 3 coding questions. All were pretty easy. Followed by a 10 minute interview held online, not technical, just asked personal questions. The coding questions had web design (HTML & CSS), basic DSA (python, C# or java)
