The most negative interview experience I've ever had. Interviewer had a very aggressive communication style and lacked self awareness. I knew immediately this was not someone I would ever want to report to. Typically when I've let people know I've been laid off, they respond compassionately and move on. Instead she asked questions about it and made odd comments. She asked me if I was shocked I was laid off and if I felt it made sense based on what I was doing. She asked me if I liked my previous employer and when I had great things to say, she said she was surprised to hear me say that considering what happened. She told me I should have spaces between the companies I worked for in my resume--I told her there were spaces and I don't know if somehow she had a distorted version. As I spoke she scrunched up her face. She asked me how I would approach looking at the opportunity. I began to tell her my first steps and she asked for a hypothetical. I gave her a hypothetical and emphasized it was hypothetical. She then reacted so negatively, saying "yeah yeah, you don't have to tell me that. We do that." What? She asked if I had any more questions and as I'm looking at my notes, she says, "...oh well I guess you can relax today since you're not working." Very off-putting all around. I am shocked this is the type of leadership that exists at Adobe. Although she's one person, it left me with a negative impression of the company.
