I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Adobe (San Jose, CA) in May 2017
Interview
I had an interview with four interviewees in a row for 30 mins each. It was on-site 1-1 interview. They were very kind and chill! Definitely, working environment looks awesome.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain about correlation colored plot and make a story about a plot drawn on a white board. Also, technical questions were about data structure in Python/R and modeling experiences.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adobe (London, England)
Interview
The interview process as a whole was very amateuristic, and honestly, just weird. It started with a couple of calls, then 2 interviews onsite.
During the whole time, the communication was via calls and emails with changing HR people. They left me a couple of voice mails, but didn't pick up when I called or answer my emails. The process just stopped without any communication after I gave up trying to reach them.
Never seen, heard or dealt with this type of recruitment method, but this is definitely not what you expect from a leading, 15K employees, tech company at 2017. Very disappointing
I applied online. I interviewed at Adobe (San Jose, CA) in Apr 2017
Interview
1 45 mins technical phone interview, 5 onsite by interview by 15 people - average 4 per interview. Interviewers were friendly and hiring manager was in-competent. Recruiter didn't have any clue what was happening. I had great respect about Adobe, but with stupid process I hate it. After my interviews same day evening hiring manager sends an email asking for references, according to my experience that looked like positive I thought they would extend an offer. Recruiter said yes it is very positive sign, then next day hiring manager called all the references with basic questions and next day morning I got an email from recruiter they cannot extend offer they have selected one more candidate. I really did well in the interview. This just shows very unprofessional behavior 1) why did hiring manger reach out me for references he could conveyed to me that I am one of the potential candidate then I would made a choice to give references 2) why did not recruiter took control of the situation he should have been more clearer. I would hope adobe takes this feedback seriously and provides suitable training for management how to handle.
