I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Adobe (Lehi, UT)
Interview
Connected with the interviewer via email and then met over Zoom. It was honestly pretty awkward because the interviewer was using a room with an auto-focusing camera, so my view was constantly changing (made me a little seasick, tbh). Felt like I was only asked surface-level questions, and that the interviewer wanted me to supply as much information as possible without prompting. It was very difficult to gauge his reactions throughout the course of the interview.
In their Ads product hiring, highly unethical practice is going on. They ask to create detailed product roadmaps for their specific product, from Industry veterans in the pretext of hiring.
First of all, its highly unethical to do unpaid work for "your" product, with the pretence of assessment. Especially when the interviewee has substantial domain expertise. You can always give a hypothetical product or a vertical in which Adobe is not involved in.
Next, the candidate dismisses these concerns thinking, surely people working in companies of this stature will be genuine. Once the "assignment" is submitted , you never hear back from them. The HRs who had been following up daily with you will not respond anymore and if you are lucky you will get an automated rejection mail. Not sure if they are in on it.
8-9 months after the fact you still see the same roles open. These never get closed. Same thing happened to a friend of mine too.
Adobe should have some checks and balances against these kind of behaviour.
Putting this here , so that other candidates don't get scammed. If you are asked for an unethical assignment, politely refuse.
It was a single round interview experience. The interview was on medium to difficult level. the questions was mostly asked about resume and the work experience. The overall experience was good and rewarding.
