Initial 30 min interview with recruiter about role and my background
Then 30 minute interview with hiring manager with mix of technical and personality questions
Then an hour long technical interview with an engineer. Interview was building a todo list app in React.
Then TWO MORE hour long technical interviews on the same day. First was with one engineer and asked architectural questions (Don't know why they're asking these questions for a non senior developer role) Then gave me easy style leetcode problems to do. Second interview was with two engineers where they showed me a search bar on their site and asked me to implement a search history component for it in React.
And after those FIVE interviews I was met with silence, and probably would have never heard back from them if I didn't reach out to the recruiter asking about the status of my application. Was finally given a generic "not moving forward at this time" rejection email. Was kind of surprised by this outcome as the technical interviewers said I did well and passed those interviews, but I guess not.
It just sucks that companies will ask you to invest so much time to interview for them and then will either ghost you or give you a generic template rejection email. Also during this whole process they did not tell me what the entire Adobe interviewing process would be, so it just seemed like I kept having to do interview after interview with no end in site. Also if you have a current job get ready to use PTO or work late because they will expect you to be available for interviews during your work hours.
