I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Align Technology (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2019
Interview
1. The recruiter solicited interest via phone, for about 30mins. General questions around your interest and why Align, pretty basic.
2. The program director/hiring manger (nice guy) conducted phone interview for about 30mins. He was upfront about the questions were bizarre and unlike ordinary behavioral questions.
3. I believe there may be an on-site, can be too sure about the last step.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were designed to screen personality rather than thought process, or maybe both. The phone call with the recruiter was easy, but he asked multiple times about my interest to a particular region for sales deployment, which makes sense.
Here are some interesting questions the hiring manger/program director asked (they are probably different every time):
1. Why do you get up?
2. If I call your mother now, what is the first thing she will say about you?
3. Who is the person you look up to? why and what would you say to he/she?
4. Share with me one thing that is not on your application/resume.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Align Technology (Raleigh, NC) in Oct 2017
Interview
- There was a phone interview and then an in-person interview. The phone interview was relatively quick while the in-person was around 1 1/2 hours. You first met with the manager and asked normal interview questions. Then you went out and met with some of the people you'd be working with to get a better idea of the job itself.
