Interview
- Manage to have only 1 interview with HR - The process is taking usually 4 steps - It took them 6 weeks (!) to give me a negative answer - They are looking for someone since February 23 (at least). I was contacted by a head-hunter end of May. I had my first interview beginning of June and it took them basically 6 weeks to have a negative answer (which is quiet unacceptable and prove a total lack of consideration and respect for people). It looks like they are looking for a duck with 5 legs. The hiring manager has no clue about UX/UI and their current products are dreadful: look at the video on Youtube and their tutorials. They have a huge team of UX/UI designers but are not able to deliver a half-decent product. My CV was not considered by the hiring manager because I don't come from a "Tech company" (I was just coming from the automotive industry which is an industry with extremely high-standards in terms of UX/UI but it looks like the hiring manager doesn't feel the same way)... It is like rejecting someone because he knows how to ride a Ducati but he doesn't have enough experience in riding a scooter. As a consequence I was nto given the chance to prove my value and develop a holistic vision for the company (which is my speciality). However by looking at Tech profiles, they often recruit people coming from Saas / B2B companies which doesn't have a strong culture of usability and UCD as their users are "captive": they very often deliver products very immature to their customers and doesn't have a strong vision and holistic approach. At least if they don't manage to build decent products, "Tech" is a nice buzz word and I am sure it will look cool internally !
