Interview
I got an employee referral. The recruiter reached to me in 3 weeks and asked me to do an online assessment. And I got rejected two days later. I think a interactive phone interview would be much better than the online assessment. For the 24 logical questions, it would be much easier if you have a number-alphabet table by your hand.

Question 1
1. finding if two binary number are consecutive grey code. (i.e. only one bit difference)
2. finding if two string are rotation to each other. (i.e. return true if s1 = "abcde" s2 = "cdeab")
And 24 easy logical questions.

Interview
Was referred by a friend. Accepted to do a 2-hour online assessment that involved 2 coding questions followed by logical questions. Did the assessment without using outside sources because they monitored your browsing activity, did screen capturing and you had to be on webcam the whole time. After completing that assessment the following survey asked what online sources I used to aid me. Since they didn't specify that I was able to use online sources I didn't use any making it way harder than it should have been. Felt very uncomfortable in the way that they monitored me scaring me from using online sources. Overall non-human interaction I feel is a bad way to weed people out. Felt a lot of anxiety doing the test due to being monitored so strictly. Probably would of done better if they specified before hand that you are able to use online resources to help you

Unable to comment on questions due to the agreement that questions are personal property of Amazon.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Amazon in Mar 2014
Interview
I went to the University's career fair and talked to one of their recruiter, then I got an opportunity for the online test. However I did that test several months later. All the questions are very strait forwarded. If you are a CS student you will finish them. Remember you need to give the time complexity.
Finally I got an onsite interview opportunity in Seattle. Their HR is very nice. And the trip is arranged very well. 4 rounds of the onsite interviews. All coding plus basic CS questions. Very little on the resume. Remember to finish them fast. I didn't get the offer may because of that,
