I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2013
Interview
I submitted an application few months ago. Last month I receive an invitation to be interviewed in Seattle, WA, so I didn't have any other screening interviews.
I signed the NDA, but the event was great and I would say easy.
I didn't have any common questions during the interview, like solving certain algorithms, everything was focused in the challenge of the day.
You don't need to code in paper during the event, your favorite IDE is included.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2013
Interview
Just the first round interview, I didn't get the question clearly. Later the recruiter told me they will choose others. Personally, I think it's unfair because the reject you just because the unuseful testing which some experienced guy will be failed because they haven't touch those knowledge for long time.
But anyway, not my fault. I am the guy who can work well in real case but nervous when testing.
Trust yourself and keep going, there are some better companies than amazon are waiting for you.
