I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Amsterdam) in Oct 2019
Interview
Interview included three parts: test with 2 problems to code, phone interview and onsite interview during the full 8 hours working day with several interviewers. The first interview was much more complex for me because initially they wanted to consider me for Software Engineer position, after successfully passed first step I was tested for Data Engineering only. Phone exam was quite simple, despite I prepared to have two parts - technical and behavioral, I was asked with technical questions only. The last step is the hardest one: I passed for about 5 interviews with technical specialists and managers. There were technical questions about DWH, databases, SQL and other. But the most difficult are behavioral, well, not exactly that, but they ask about your experience and you should show the main principles they are trying to fit your answer to.
