I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Irving, TX) in Oct 2014
Interview
Notices were sent out at my university that recruiters would be there. I don't know why, but I expected something more than "Hi, you look like you can scan boxes. Resume, please."
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Joliet, IL) in Jul 2016
Interview
Interview was done by integrity staffing. Filled out paperwork. Watched a film about Amazon.Waited for about an hour for my name to be called in the direct hire section, because I applied directly to Amazon. Took a photo after the paperwork. Talked with an interviewer. She asked a few questions and then gave me an oral drug test. It lasted less than half an hour, and I was finished.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Manchester, England) in Aug 2016
Interview
You are made to watch a promotional video, then they spend ages checking your documents, then there is an easy interview where they check you can communicate, the interviewer even said "this is easy, we're just making sure you can communicate effectively" and they went through a list of questions, then there was drug test.
