I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon in Aug 2016
Interview
Very rigorous process. I applied while being in another country so all interviews were by phone.
First HR interview was pleasant with no surprises and not as challenging as I was expecting. So typical first step interview.
2 weeks later, I had 4 interviews in 4 consecutive hours. It was very draining and the bar raisers asked almost every question in the book, some technical but for the most part in relation to the leadership principals
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mostly were situation based and related to the relationship principals. Some technical questions but for the most part I think that they want to judge if you can fit in the culture above all else.
Very hard interviews it felt like the jobs are almost innaccessible. I felt really bad during the interview and even i got prepared for days for this interview did research and everything

The Interview was about work situations inspired by Amazon's leadership principles that you can find on their website. You can have question indireclty about each leadership principle and you should answer with situation lived showing that principle.
1 screening, after one week 3 interviews in one day with different managers. The last one was with the hiring manager and it was difficult and long (+1h). She pushed me to the limits by asking many questions about my answers apart from the corporate questions.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had significant, unanticipated obstacles to overcome in achieving a key goal. What was the obstacle? Were you eventually successful? Knowing what you know now, is there anything you would have done differently?
