I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Hyderabad) in Aug 2011
Interview
Applied online and received a call from a recruiter, HR guy who took an interview over the phone for 15mins.
Informed that I have been shortlisted for second round with Operations. Recieved an email confirming the same next day and stating that will get an interview call within a week. After waiting for 2 weeks, decided to write back to them for an update as did not recieve any call or update. To which I get a reply that the operations team are busy with meetings etc and will get a call this week. Did not hear back again. Waiting for 9 days and then decided to write back. This almost continued for 4-5 times and it was over 2months with email exchange happening with HR. Really did not like the whole experience of the way this was not handled proffesionally. Being a 9 years experienced person, looking for a mid management level role, this whole experience left a sour taste. Finally after 2 1/2 months, get a call. Interview runs for 45mins with a detailed questions on my whole experience, my current role and responsibilities. After which did not get any update inspite of the interviewier promising to update me through HR in week's time. Finally after much followup of 3 weeks again, hear that was not cleared for next round. Tried to seek feedback vehmently but did not get the same at all.
Not a happy experience in terms of interview from a Fortune 500 company.
First was an online screnning, and then straight to final round. All behav with questions around leadership principles. Final round was two back to back interviews. Very conversational, and team members were friendly. Head back within a week.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA)
Interview
Two phone interviews. It did not seem like the interviewers had read my resume and my background. The questions were off and did not align my experience or the role itself.
