The interview started with the online assignment test which consists of debugging, Aptitude, programming and behavioral questions which were pretty easy if you have practice enough.
After clearing that round I was called upon for f2f interview, here my interviewer was "krishna reddy". As the interview started he didn't ask my name, nor the introduction but my college name and where it is. Then after that he get to know that its IIIT but a new college, instead of making someone stable as every interviewer does, instead he humiliated me by saying " now amazon has started recruiting from new college". That is something which hurt a lot and at that very moment I get to know I am not going to be recruited. At that very moment the image that i had about amazon and their culture was shattered, as he was the manager at amazon. Amazon always says that they are really concern about the values an employee should have to be a Amazonian, really these are your values. I mean Really???
He didn't stop there only after that he gave me two questions and didn't explain what to do, just input and output, I mean really i have to back engineer it, really??
There after 5 mins I am not able to get the ques then he explained me that. The ques was find previous lexographicall number and the number can be -ve as well as fraction as well
Then he gave me another question to get common mentor of 2 employees given the employee and their mentor.
Here also he told me to first build the tree and then write the algorithm.
I build the trie there and while coding the algorithm, i was explaining him what is my approach but he stopped me and said code it, he is not even interested iny approach. I gave him o(n) soln for which he said optimize it further, I was like are you joking, it can't be optimised but then i realised that yes he is joking because he didn't want me to get recruited.
After that you already know what would have been my result.
This was my worst experience till now or may be in future as well, and the most unexpected one because I never expected this from an Amazonian and that too a manager.
