I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2014
Interview
I've interviewed on two separate occasions with Amazon, but in different areas and both for technical sourcer positions.
Current position, I'm at 4 interviews all via phone and next step is face-to-face. Previously, it was 6 interviews (2 phone, 2 video and 2 face-to-face) and references.
Generally the first two phone interviews are easy-peasy, conversations, good dialog. The next two are set format, situation/behavioral including the hypothetical build me a boolean string for X position. It seems like they have a set format and everyone sings from the same hymn sheet and you'll get asked the same question two or three times.
I'm very interested in working with Amazon, but interested to see if they truly embrace autonomy within a team. I like structure, but definitely not micromanagement.

Question 1
Not unexpected, but how would you build a Boolean string for an X position. Difficult because I haven't sourced for that position in over 6 months and they wanted it from the top of my head.
Four separate one hour interviews that take place over the span of one day. Mix of behavioral questions and questions based around sourcing, metrics, sourcing strategies. To get hired into Amazon you must be demonstrating that you are raising the bar for the level you are interviewing for.

Question 1
How do you source candidates that live in this city without specifically using the city name in your search.
It took two rounds of interviews. The virtue interview lasted 1 hour. During the interview, have Asked several questions about your previous experience, recruit matrix, and pipeline. Amazon's leadership principles are fundamental. No feedback after being interviewed.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2022
Interview
Very straightforward and not confusing. Tough but fair questions. Was a two part interview and got an offer after a few days. I don't have anything else I could say about the interview other than what I just said previously

Tell me about a time you had to take charge of a req.
