I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Sunnyvale, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
The interview process was fairly standard but I want to highlight their insane waiting period when an offer is not given. I applied for another role with an Amazon subsidiary and they told me I was on a 2 year waiting period! This is absolutely ABSURD. I have never heard of such a ridiculous hiring policy especially since I have worked with 2 other very large tech companies. I can understand the reasoning for not hiring someone for various reasons but to have a candidate wait 2 years before applying for another role is outrageous and limits the potential for candidates to find the right team.
For Pete's sake, Amazon, get a grip.

Question 1
Think about a time when you used your technical knowledge to turn a struggling project around, or catch and mitigate a significant technical risk. What was your thought process, and what did you do to change the course of this project for the better?
The process took a very long time and after 4 rounds of interviwes I got only an auto rejection email. The company check only the Leadership principles, and it looks like they don't have an interest in smth else. Anyway people were nice, the case study was interesting as well.

Did a test task and was called by HR almost immediately for the next round. But salary range (full packet with stock and benefits) and return to office policy did nit much my expectations
very standard. the interviewers had a set of questions to ask about the LPs so we can anticipate beforehand. But I think I got ghosted in the end. One of the interviewers told me about the 2 & 5 rule but its been more than 2 weeks since my last interview and still no response from anyone so idk what happened.
