Application: To begin the process, you'll need to submit an online application through the Amazon Careers website. Phone screen: If your application is selected, you'll receive an email from an Amazon recruiter inviting you to a phone screen. During the phone screen, the recruiter will ask you some technical questions related to software development and coding. Technical interviews: If you pass the phone screen, you'll move on to the technical interview stage. The technical interview consists of a series of interviews with Amazon SDEs, where you'll be asked to solve coding problems on a whiteboard or online coding platform. These interviews are typically conducted in person, but may be conducted remotely. Hiring manager interview: After the technical interviews, you may be invited to an interview with the hiring manager. During this interview, the hiring manager will ask you questions related to your experience and qualifications, as well as your fit with Amazon's culture. Bar raiser interview: Finally, you may be invited to a "bar raiser" interview. The bar raiser is an experienced Amazon employee who is trained to assess candidates for cultural fit and to ensure that hiring standards are met. The bar raiser interview is usually the final stage of the process. Overall, the Amazon SDE interview process can be challenging, but it's designed to identify talented software engineers who can thrive in Amazon's fast-paced, innovative environment.
