I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview process started around early 2019.
Received an email from a recruiter to do an online assessment. Two questions similar to Leetcode medium and hard. Did it and got contacted for an on site interview.
There were four back to back interviews in the span of four hours. Every interview spent around 10-20 minutes of time on leadership principles, so be sure to know all of them and have a variety of examples for each one! The technical side of the interview relied heavily on system design, such as building Minesweeper, a parking structure, and Amazon Prime Video. There was also a algorithm question involving a Leetcode Hard Tree. Overall an interesting and good experience, the onsite felt stressful yet at the same time doable. Respectful interviewers who are trying to learn the most about you. It was hard to gauge how I was doing from their reactions due to them typing on their laptops constantly.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Denver, CO) in Oct 2020
Interview
Was reached out to by a recruiter, talked with them about positions available for software roles in the Denver office, took an online assessment, then setup a phone interview with a SDE. The phone interviewer was very knowledgeable, considerate, and very helpful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Will not list the question out of respect for the interviewer, but standard algorithm and data structure prep will suffice for the questions asked!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Austin, TX) in Jan 2020
Interview
An online coding assessment including 3 questions which for each you’re expected to write algorithms for real life scenarios at Amazon. The questions can take up more than the given time window for each. Good thing is that you can choose your preferred coding language. The recruiters were good and the process doesn’t take too long once you submit your availability for the interview
