I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY)
Interview
Simple board interview of 4 leaders. Initial interview is with a recruiter for about 35 minutes to talk about the position, company and get to know and your skills to make sure you are good fit for the role
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Tampa, FL) in Apr 2020
Interview
There was a typical first round, one on one, hour phone interview with an operations manager, consisting of discussing the position and work experience. I remember some math and a few scenario questions. The process moves very fast, once accepted for a second round interview there are preparation calls so you have an idea what is expected.
The second round interview was 4 hours starting with a math problem about throughput with other candidates, at this point you have the opportunity to see the competition for the position. Then there are four 45 minute one on one interviews with a break in-between. The questions are STAR behavioral based most can be found online.
The portion with the HR manager was frustrating as they wouldn't answer questions and seemed to be intentionally difficult to communicate with.

Question 1
If you asked two of your former employees what skills you were lacking and needed to work on, what would they say?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Manchester, England) in May 2017
Interview
Recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn, sent over my CV, they Amazon sent me numerical and verbal reasoning tests. From this they arranged a telephone interview.
My role at the time was quite specialist, but my interviewer had some experience in that area, so they obviously go to quite a lot of effort to pair you with an interviewer with knowledge of your industry.
Makes sure you review the Amazon Leadership Principles, and there are a lot of competency based questions, so I would have some answers lined up using the STAR method. They will push you if you don't answer the question completely.
