Question 1
Have you reviewed the values, which resonate with you and why?
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2020
Interview
Was interviewed by a manager of an adjacent department who explained his role in the interview process as normal, but it was clear they were just getting a new manager’s feet wet with interviews. Based on his LI, he was a recent graduate and an even more recent manager, and was asking me things like “How do you create a vision on a team?” Despite answering how I’ve done it in the past and also the textbook answer from my MBA course, it was clear my words didn’t match those on his card. I don’t think Amazon took my candidacy seriously or I would have interviewed with someone who knew the answers.

Question 1
“Describe a time when you disagreed with your boss and how you handled it”
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Nashville, TN) in Apr 2020
Interview
After initial email questionnaire, I was invited to a phone interview, which lasted approximately 30 minutes. The questions were of a predictable nature, if not entirely routine. The format was in the STAR format, and though I had prepared quite a few scenarios relevant to the position, I was caught off guard by a few of the questions, and got the feeling that I had somewhat misunderstood precisely what the job entailed, despite doing quite a bit of research on it.
