I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Bengaluru) in Dec 2017
Interview
Very structured interviewing. One of the best I have ever seen. Was a major reason to favor Amazon over other offers I had.
Generally 6-8 rounds long with a Bar Raiser Round.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Luxembourg) in Jan 2018
Interview
Very intensive, but interesting. Felt like most of the interviewers were more junior tham me.
When it came to the hiring manager it all changed as he did not pay any attention to the answers.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in May 2017
Interview
Recruiter set up a phone interview with another SDM, interviewer was ver friendly went really well. Was given a choice of dates to fly to Seattle for on site. Had 4 1 hour interviews.
1. Interviewer was another SDM, his computer wasn't able to boot, since he hadn't have the questions, he was clueless what to ask and struggled to come up with questions and wasn't able to record my answers, which they are required to do so.
2. Another SDM, was very personable and friendly, had really good conversation.
3. Interviewer came to the room, did not introduce himself, put his laptop between him and me. He acted like he was forced to be there, asked lots of "Tell me when.." questions and took notes all the time. There were a lot of pauses after I answered a question and he asked the next one, he stared at his screen for 30-40 seconds between questions. Most uncomfortable interview I've ever had.
4. Principal Architect showed up with another SDM tagged along. I was asked detailed design questions which had nothing to do with the job I applied for.
Declined the offer.
