I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2012
Interview
A month after dropping my resume off at a hiring fair, I received an email requesting a phone interview.
There ended up being two phone interviews, both technical in nature and lasting one hour each. The questions were on Design, Object Oriented coding, algorithms, and some basic coding. If you practice the sample questions here on glass door, or look at "Hacking the Google Interview", you'll know what to expect.
After the phone interviews Amazon flew me down for a day of 1:1 interviews, almost all technical, which included white board coding and lunch.
Two days after the 1:1 interviews I received a call with an offer.

Interview
I went through three phone interviews. All technical, including coding on a shared doc and focusing on
1. data structures, like the comparison between array and linked list, time complexity of hashtables, how to avoid hash collisions and tree traversal(BFT), and so on.
2. OOP, the concept of encapsulation, virtual functions, etc.
3. Algorithms, like finding the intersection of two linked lists.
I thought I handed well, especially the last one, but didn't get the on-site anyway.
