Question 1
¿Como actuaste cuando tuviste que contradecir las indicaciones de tu superior y como defendiste tu postura?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Sydney) in Mar 2022
Interview
Whilst I appreciate that Amazon recruitment was understaffed (I was advised of this) I had not spoken to not one person from talent/ recruitment at all throughout the entire process to keep me updated. I had to periodically check my email to ensure I didnt miss anything.
In addition, I had to go through 7 interviews... seven! In addition to a written assessment and pre-screening phone interview. I'm sorry, but if Amazon cannot spot talent by the second interview, then something is seriously wrong and the system is broken.
Then the interviewers who were interviewing me were either late, or people had switched last minute and I was not advised of this.
The questions asked were average, however the outcome as to why I was not successful was because I did not provide "data driven" answers, where I was not even asked not ONE data driven answer at all. Every single question asked was a People Leader question, or Operational question (I applied for an Operations Manager role). These questions were relevant to the position I applied for, so the fact that I was rejected because I did not provide data driven responses was extremely poor on their part.

Question 1
Why Amazon?
What do you know about the follow-the-sun rule?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Sneads Ferry, NC) in Jan 2022
Interview
Initial communication with recruiters was good and as helpful as can be, which included mock interviews. Made it to 45 min phone call interview and took about 2 weeks to find out, I had made it to the panel interviews. This was done by 3-45 min back to back interviews. Very informal but with lots of quantitative answers revolving around the leadership principles. The first two interviewers did not seem interested but mostly typed as I answered. Once they felt they had heard enough, they stopped typing and stared which made it awkward. Last interviewer was far more personable and it was more of a conversation. Afterwards, I didn’t have a good feel of the whole interview which helped when I received an email a week later stating they weren’t interested.
If I had to do it again, I would have just learned the details of all my stories and explained as in conversation, instead of sounding rehearsed.
