I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Minneapolis, MN) in Nov 2019
Interview
The process is multi-fold. Three to five rounds of interviews beyond the initial Talent Acquisition team member. The interviewers prescribe it to be conversational, but they really want quantitative data-driven facts, in line with the company's 14 principles..

Describe a time when you experienced a challenging relationship with your supervisor.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon in Jul 2018
Interview
The interview follows the process suggested by Amazon HR reps pretty closely. An HR rep scheduled a quick interview call with me. Then a call was scheduled with a current Operations Manager. This call consists of behavioral questions designed to tease out STAR stories that incorporate Amazon's principles. There is also a math exercise. After this, I was brought on-site to interview with a Senior Operations Manager, 2 Site Leaders, and an HR rep. There were a ton of candidates and you could tell the interviewers were tired of interviewing folks. The HR rep got irritated with me at one point because I left out some of the background in my STAR story. When I asked if I could go back, she was visibly frustrated with me. I walked away thinking I was not a great fit for that environment, and I did not get an offer.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon (Tracy, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Pretty relaxed but formal process conversing mostly with peer level managers trying to justify what you’re worth to the company would be. There is somewhat of a focus on your ability to do simple math and allocate resources accordingly to current production performance in order to meet demand.
