Question 1
Describe a situation where you took a calculated risk. What was the risk? How did you approach the decision and what was the impact?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (Singapur) in Jun 2022
Interview
HR was very responsive and scheduled the interviews really quickly. I was proceeded to the Chime Loop interview which is the last round where I spoke to 4-5 different individuals separately.
The entire loop interview was full of behavioral questions of "Tell me a time" where I should have gotten a storyteller to come up with some story to fit their scenario because the questions asked were so specific!! They assume that my job is full of wonders and I have encountered 1001342342scenarios where I fully remember the details of it. Moreover, I felt conflicted when the interviewed tried to probe further as I felt some business details were confidential. Overall, I felt super drained after the entire experience.
This kind of interview is PERFECTLY SUITABLE for a storyteller who can come up with stories out of the thin air and cater to their specific question.

Tell me about a time when you wanted to push forward with a decision but failed
Had a phone screen with HR and then 2 phones screens with team members for the position. I was then flown in for 6 hours of on site interviews, I think 4 interviews total and a lunch with a team member. This was in 2018.
